We’re pleased to announce that our scholarship committee has selected the winners for our 2019 college scholarship contest! There were many impressive applicants, but the committee has recognized these three as standouts due to their excellence in academics, community support and ability to overcome obstacles in pursuit of their goals. As the overall winner, Elise Winkley will receive $1000, while Travis Grille and Melissa Ramirez will each receive $250 as runner-up to put toward their education.

EliseElsie is a rising freshman at the Univ of Delaware with plans to study Chemical Engineering.  Her goal is to use her engineering knowledge to improve our environment. We’re so glad to be a part of helping her get closer to her goals!

Travis“This scholarship helps to lessen the financial stresses that accompany funding my own college education.” said Travis Grile of the University of Dayton. “Thanks to your generosity, I am more able to focus on my academics, learn more, and gain more from my overall college experience!”

When told that she had won the scholarship award, Melissa Ramirez of Pennsylvania State University updated us on her situation, saying, “By awarding me the XBOSoft STEM Scholarship for 2019, I am able to concentrate on what is important to me: education. Your financial generosity has allowed me to be one step closer to my goal and has inspired me to help others by giving back to the community. I hope one day I will be able pay this forward by helping other students achieve their goal just as you have helped me.”

During the course of this contest, the committee came across many highly qualified and aspiring applicants.  We at XBOSoft thank you for the time and effort you took to apply. We encourage our finalists and all applicants to reapply for next year’s scholarship! The deadline to apply for XBOSoft’s STEM College Scholarships will be August 1, 2020.
